Helping Evaluators Go Beyond Good
EvaluationLive!® is a practice model that creates excitement, urgency and a hunger for learning during the evaluation experience which will, in turn, maximize evaluation utilization and add greater value for stakeholders.
It was originally conceived by Mary Grcich Williams, formerly Lumina Foundation’s Evaluation Director and current independent consultant for nonprofits and foundations, and Melanie Hwalek, CEO of SPEC Associates. SPEC Associates is continuing to develop this model’s theoretical basis and tools.
There are many ways to get involved. Our current goal is to build out the model in ways that can be used in evaluation practice. We are gathering resources that fit into each element or category of the EvaluationLive!® model. We presented the model at Michigan State University’s Evaluation Circle, the Canadian Evaluation Society’s Annual Conference, the American Evaluation Association Annual Conference and to its affiliate, Washington Evaluators. We invite evaluators and nonprofits to join our discussions on LinkedIn. We want to collaborate with other evaluators and nonprofits who want to study with us. We are interested in all information related to how people turn around ho-hum experiences and develop evaluations that engage all stakeholders in an excited state of learning.
